Durafil
The British Standard
Durafil not only lead the way in sewing thread R&D; we also make sure that our winning formulas stay exactly the same when in production. We use single-origin, virgin fibre and European precision machinery. We manufacture everything under one roof, keeping temperature and humidity constant throughout the year. And we digitise vital data all the way from materials sourcing to final product delivery. That’s why it’s so easy to do business with Durafil.
Because we simply do what we’re supposed to do.
We deliver to spec.
“Best-case-scenario performance is a pointless metric. What you want is plain and simple consistency.”

Single-origin materials, year-round climate control and European precision machinery make the Durafil production plant a place where nothing is left to chance.
Company Profile
At Durafil, we pride ourselves on a heritage that stretches all the way back to the 18th century, when British spinning mills brought about the industrial revolution.
We draw on hundreds of years of tradition and many decades of personal experience. But we are also keenly aware that best practice today requires digital integration and the ability to quickly embrace new materials and technology.
